World of Warcraft – My return
August 30, 2014

I recently resubscribed to World of Warcraft after a three year hiatus. The last thing I recall doing before I unsubbed was downing Deathwing in Dragon Soul on 25 man. I remember the fight being relatively simple, and we did it on our first try. If this was the final raid instance and it was this simple, PVE is no longer challenging to me or fun. At the time, I wasn’t a big PVP’r so continuing along that route didn’t interest me. Among various other reasons, I realized that I have missed the majority of games in the 4~ years I played WoW. I missed Mass Effect (The whole Mass Effect 3 ending fiasco went right over my head), Fallout 3, and many other games which have now moved to a special place in my heart. I definitely have strong opinions on the changes I discovered on my return, but have really enjoyed it so far.  Let’s reminisce with some screen shots from the past…

Achievement for my Netherwing mounts; a pain to grind out the reputation for but oh so worth it to have a beautiful glowing dragon.

Reaching level 85! My last level cap since I got to 90.

  1. You know, I’ve been thinking about getting back into WoW with the new expansion. Andy reminds me that I always say I want to play again and three weeks later, I quit while complaining about kids who know nothing about playing.

    I’m so undecided on this.
